    Summary: 
    Roy Clarke, Department of Mineral Sciences, United States National Museum, now known as the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), sits at the microbalance in the chemical laboratory on the third floor of the NMNH's main building. According to Roy Clarke. the microbalance was nicely housed, but left the user wanting for leg room, due to a cabinet below which was used with chemical storage.
    Notes: 
    A microbalance is an instrument capable of making precise measurements of weight of objects of relatively small mass. It is the precision of the microbalance that distinguishes it from other weighing devices.
